  1. Tourist Visa
  • The foreign tourist visiting Nepal must obtain a tourist visa.
  • The tourist visa will be issued at the Embassy for a minimum period of 15 days and a maximum of 150 days in a calendar year from January to December.
  • The visa is multiple entry, so the tourist can enter Nepal as many times as needed during its validity.
  • You have 6 months to travel to Nepal from the date of issuance of the visa, and once you have entered the country, the days of the selected visa will begin to count.

.1.1   Required documents to apply for a tourist visa:

  1. Send the duly completed Visa Application Form to: visa@embajadadenepal.es
  2. Send the original passport with at least 6 months validity and at least 2 blank pages.
  3. Payment of the visa can be made:

1.1.1. Payment through bank transfer

Send proof of payment along with the passport to the Embassy.

 

1.1.2. Payment by card at the Embassy

 At the Embassy you can only pay by card.

1.2.   Delivery methods:

1.2.1.  By courier: 

You must contract the delivery and collection courier service at the expense of the interested party. Once we receive the passport at the Embassy, the process takes about 2-4 days. Once it is ready, we will contact you to organize the collection.

1.2.2.  In person:

by the interested party in person with the required documentation at the Embassy or by a person designated by them, in which case they must present an authorization signed by the interested party. Once we receive the passport at the Embassy, the process takes about 2-4 days. We will not deliver the passport if the interested party or the third party appears at the Embassy without D.N.I or N.I.E.

1.4.    Required documents by the holder of Travel Document (not ordinary passport):

  • Original travel document with at least 6 months validity.
  • Visa Application Form duly completed and signed.
  • Letter of sponsorship signed by a Nepalese citizen.
  • Copy of the citizenship certificate of the Nepalese sponsor.

Important:

  • Please, before making the payment by bank transfer, wait to receive confirmation from the Embassy approving the correct reception of the documents.
  • If you have an urgent need to process your visa, wait to receive confirmation from the Embassy of its availability to meet your deadlines before making the payment.
  • For financial security reasons, the Embassy will not be able to reimburse those amounts that have been paid either by bank transfer or by card payment.
  • Once we have notified you that the documents are correct, please make the transfer. If you have any questions, feel free to contact us.

1.6.   Additional information:

  1. Children under ten years of age will receive a tourist visa free of charge, and must indicate a duration of 30 days on the Visa Application Form, regardless of the period of stay.
  2. Once issued, the visa cannot be withdrawn and the fee will not be refunded after issuance. The visa can be used within 6 months from the date of issue.
  3. Visa extension: the maximum duration of the visa that can be processed at the Embassy is 90 days, after which it can only be extended at the Kathmandu Immigration Department or at the Pokhara Immigration Office, and for a total period of a maximum of 150 days in a calendar year from January to December.

  5. Visa will not be issued to Nepali personnel and Indian nationals.

 

 

  1. Diplomatic Visa / Official Visa 
  • Except in cases where the Government of Nepal has issued a special order, the diplomatic visa will be issued to the person and their family members with a diplomatic or official passport issued in any country and recommended by the relevant foreign diplomatic mission.
  • Diplomatic or official visa will be issued on the basis of reciprocity, and its duration may be extended by one or more times for the duration of the assignment in Nepal.

 

2.1.   Required documents for the Diplomatic Visa / Official Visa:

  • Original passport with at least 6 months validity and a photocopy of the identification page of the passport.
  • The passport must contain at least 2 blank visa pages.
  • A note verbale from the Department of State, diplomatic mission, international organization or equivalent offices with the diplomatic visa application, clearly indicating the purpose and period of the visit.
  • The planned itinerary of the visit.
  • Diplomatic or official visas will be issued free of charge.
  • The Visa Application Form must be completed and signed and sent to the following email address: visa@embajadadenepal.es

2.2.   Delivery methods:

2.2.1.  By courier:

It is possible to contract the delivery and collection courier service at the expense of the interested party. The collection period will be set four days after receipt at the Embassy, collection in which we will include the stamped visa and return the documentation to the destination you have selected.

2.2.2.  In person:
