1. Tourist Visa
·
A visa is
required to travel to Nepal.
·
a)
Tourist visa will be issued at the embassy for a minimum period of 15 days and
a maximum of 150 days in a calendar year from January to December.
·
b) The
visa is multi-entry so you can enter Nepal as many times as you need during the
validity of the visa.
·
c) You
have 6 months to travel to Nepal from the date of issuance of visa and once you
enter Nepal, the visa days for your selected period starts to get counted.
1.1. Documents required to
apply for a tourist visa:
a. Visa application form duly filled
in Visa Application Form and send it to: visa@embajadadenepal.es
b. Original passport with at least 6
months validity and at least 2 blank pages.
c. Payment of the visa can be made
via :

1.3. Methods of delivery of
passport:
1.3.1. By courier: By contracting a courier service
for delivery and collection of the same at the expense of the interested party,
it takes about at four working days to complete the visa processing after we
receive it t at the Embassy, so that when the visa is stamped, we can return
the documentation to the destination you have selected.

1.3.2. In person: by the person concerned bringing
the documents to the Embassy in person or by a person designated in his/her
place (in this case, the full name must be given for the identification of the

sponsorship letter by a Nepalese national

1.6. More Information about
Visa:
1. Children under the age of ten
will receive a visa free of charge and must mark on the visa form the duration
of 30 days, regardless of the period of stay.
2. The visa once issued cannot be
withdrawn, the visa fee is non-refundable after the visa is issued and the visa
can be used within six months of the date of issue.
3. Visa extension: The maximum visa
that can be processed at the Embassy is 90 days, beyond which, it can only be
extended at the Immigration Department, Kathmandu or at the Immigration office,
Pokhara, for a maximum total period of 150 days of visa in a calendar year
(January – December). Taking into account the exact dates of entry and exit
from the country.
4. For information on non-tourist
visa, study visa, business visa, residential visa, Nepali non-residential visa
and transit visa, please visit the website of the Immigration Department in

5. Visa will not be issued to Nepali
/ Indian National personnel.
2. Diplomatic Visa /
Official Visa
Except in
cases where the Government of Nepal has issued a special order, diplomatic visa
will be granted to a person and his/her family members holding a
diplomatic/official passport, from any country and recommended by the concerned
foreign diplomatic mission.
The
diplomatic/official visa will be issued on the basis of reciprocity, the term
of which may be extended at a time or from time to time for the term of the
assignment in Nepal.
2.1.
Documents required for diplomatic/official visa:
1. Original passport with at least 6
months validity and a photocopy of the identification page of the passport.
2. The passport must contain at
least 2 blank visa pages.
3. A note verbale from the Department of State /
diplomatic mission / international organisation or equivalent offices with a
request for a diplomatic visa, clearly stating the purpose and period of the
visit.
4. A planned travel itinerary.
5. Diplomatic/official visas are provided free of
charge.
6. Visa application form duly
completed and signed.
2.2. Methods of delivery:
A) By courier: By contracting a courier service
for delivery and collection at the expense of the interested party, setting the
collection deadline at four days after receipt at the Embassy. The service must
be contracted with return, so that when the visa is stamped we can return the
documentation to the destination you have selected.
